Bawm Lives Matter

In April 2024, the Bangladesh government launched a joint military operation in Ruma and Thanchi of Bandarban following a bank robbery allegedly carried out by the Kuki Chin National Front. In the name of ‘containing terrorism,’ the joint forces raided villages, detained scores of Bawm civilians, and created an atmosphere of fear and intimidation. Many of those arrested remain behind bars — more than 550 days later — without formal charges or a fair trial. Families of the detainees continue to face immense financial and emotional hardship as they struggle to navigate ongoing legal battles.
This website is part of a short-term fundraising initiative to support those affected families. Your support will help the Bawm families seek justice, dignity, and relief in the face of state violence.
This is not a commercial platform — it is a community-driven initiative rooted in compassion and resistance.
